The Courage to Begin

Every journey begins with the courage to take the first step

The courage to begin is born when we choose to stay connected to the source of life.

A Seed Beneath the Soil

Every great tree was once a seed hidden beneath the soil.

Before the branches reached toward the sky...

Before the leaves danced with the wind...

Before the fruit nourished others...

There was only a seed.

Small.

Quiet.

Almost invisible.

From the outside, it seemed as though nothing was happening.

Yet beneath the surface, life had already begun.

The Moment a Seed Chooses to Grow

Then I found myself wondering...

What makes a seed brave enough to break open?

Wouldn't it be safer to remain inside its shell forever?

But a seed was never created to stay there.

It was created to grow.

Not because it already knows what the future looks like.

But because it has found the source that will sustain its life.

Its very first root searches for water.

For life.

For something to hold on to.

Perhaps that is where courage begins.

Not in the certainty that the journey will be easy,

but in the quiet confidence that life is sustained by a source that never stops giving.

Once a seed is connected to its source, it no longer lives only for itself.

It begins to discover that something beautiful has already been placed within it.

Strength.

Beauty.

The potential to become everything it was created to be.

The seed does not break open to prove something to the world.

It breaks open because it realizes it was created to become more than just a seed.

To become a tree.

To offer shade.

To bear fruit in its season.

And ultimately, to share the beauty it has first received with the world around it.

Perhaps we are not so different.

Maybe we don't need more courage.

Maybe we simply need to stay connected to the source that gives us life.

Because from that connection comes security.

And from that security, the courage to begin is born.

The Courage to Begin

We often believe success begins when people finally notice us.

When our work is recognized.

When our dreams come true.

When the fruit finally appears.

But nature gently tells a different story.

The success of a tree does not begin when it bears fruit.

Its success begins the moment the seed dares to break open.

The moment its first root reaches toward the source of life.

When no one is watching.

When there is no applause.

When there is nothing yet to celebrate.

Maybe today is not your season to bear fruit.

Maybe today is simply your season to grow roots.

And that is more than enough.

Because strong roots are what make a strong tree possible.

Perhaps today is not about becoming extraordinary.

Perhaps today is simply about having the courage to begin.

And maybe...

that is the very first sign of success.

Because every tree that now offers shade was once a tiny seed that chose to break open, stay connected to its source, and become everything it was created to be.
